Parent participation varies from school to school, and its important to ask potential schools how and to what degree they involve parents in the student’s education process. Some international schools, notably the American Embassy School, hold many events and extracurricular activities, and encourage parents to participate actively in school life. Schools with large numbers of expats also provide good opportunities to network with other expatriate parents from around the world.
