By definition, expats live in countries outside of their own. In China, they are in an environment that is linguistically, culturally, and often medically different from most Western countries. Being in a country that speaks a language unfamiliar to you is even worse. Health care in most Chinese hospitals isn’t the same, or up to par with practices in Western countries, so having information about international hospitals in such cases is very important.
Below are facilities that are clean, fairly efficient, many of them will have Western-trained doctors, English-speaking staff and have good reputations with the expat community. Almost all doctors are attached to hospitals, finding one with a private doctor’s offices is extremely rare.
