Pubs and sports bars are popular with expats in Houston. Many of these locations are frequented by the expat Meetup groups. Attending a mixer or networking event is one of the best ways to find out where the latest and hottest places are as meets are rotated around very popular spots.There are a few places that are generally frequented by expats. Keep in mind that some late night hangouts may have dress codes. If you have never been at a place, it is recommended to call the location prior to going to ensure that you are properly dressed as you otherwise may be turned away. Make sure to always have some type of picture ID with you as you many places either “card” (check identification for age) at the entrance or when selling alcoholic beverages to you.
