All conceivable electronics items can be found in the large Sharaf DG stores.
There are also stores devoted to particular brands such as Samsung, Bose or Bang & Olufsen. The top floor of Dubai Mall is a treasure trove of electronics stores, brands and products.

Until recently, DIY was almost unheard of in Dubai as most people preferred to call in odd job men instead. The whole of the city was served by two branches of the American-owned Ace Hardware. With expatriates now able to buy homes in the city, DIY is becoming more and more popular. It is still Ace Hardware, however, that most people turn to and, to cope with the increased demand, they have opened a large megastore in Festival City.
