Places to see the 2010 Football World Cup

The Football World Cup starts today in South Africa and expatriates have over 56 games to look forward to over the next four weeks.

Not many expatriates can make it to South Africa to see the game live but never fear, we have produced a list of the best places to gather with fellow supporters to watch the football and enjoy a drink or two.

Berlin, Germany

The Fifa Fan Fest 2010 is the place for expatriates to experience the Football World Cup.

Buenos Aires, Argentina

Additional Details: Games will be screened live on the big screens. While the bar will be closed for the 4:30am Pacific Time kick-offs, they will be showing replays later on in the day.

Additional Details: Games will be shown in a movie house-styled area. There’s no entrance fee, but interested parties should book in advance. A down payment of 1,500 rubles ($47) per person is required for a seat at the final. If you don’t manage to get in, games will be projected onto the windows outside.
