Finding help around the house is as easy or difficult as you care to make it. Students and recently arrived job hunters are often available to help with house keeping and unskilled odd jobs. For more professional services there are many agencies that allow you to be picky. Language is rarely an issue and you will not have difficulty finding domestic help with at least some English language skills. The majority of Amsterdam is actually below sea level. At its lowest point it is 6.7 meters below. If global warming causes sea levels to rise the city may disappear completely. |
