I have been asked to pay €990 by a Greek Hospital on offering a job there,for purpose of Expatriate Insurance Certificate to further my procedure of job can you advise how authentic this is and should I pay.

We would not recommend paying this fee, from what we can tell this is a scam with other people being asked to pay this for similar jobs in Greece. Though it’s supposedly a European requirement there’s no mention of it that I can find. Here are other examples of people being asked to pay this fee:
