looking to move to eu early 2017 for about 5 years– Cannot seem to find a straight answer about taxes in France Italy or Spain, Wife and I both retired income is limited to Social Security, State Pension and Veterans Disability. ( once we move rental income from present residence but expect it will be offset buy costs) Home state does not tax SS and VA check not taxed nor reported to State or Feds. Taxable income in US is State retirement and a portion of SS. Seems like the EU countries we have been looking at taxes world-wide income . Trying to understand what that means I’m sure there are others in similiar situations. Oh course before making a move we will consult with a tax expert for the county we decide on, but would like to have some idea before that. Thanks for the help.
