Relocating to New York City: British expats to feature in exhibition

Relocating to New York City is something that many people dream of but rarely does. A new photograph exhibition in London, offers us all an opportunity to glimpse a view of life as an expat in New York. The life of British expats who have crossed the pond in search of the glamour and glitz of New York City is currently being featured in a photograph exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery in London.

The exhibition features famous faces such as Sting, Kate Winslet and Zoe Heller side by side with lesser know—but equally fascinating—expats, including a fish and chip shop owner, commercial dive team and a rat-catcher.

The exhibition will be held between August 24 2010 and April 17th 2010 and is accompanied by a book entitled ‘An Englishman in New York’ which will be published in September.
