Hi, looking at relocating to Houston with my husbands work. Would someone be able to guide me in regards to good family areas to live and schools for primary years, grades 5 and 6 in Australia.

Don’t mind apartment living, as long as there are parks nearby and good schooling. My husband will be working in the city. Children are musical, field hockey players and swimmers.

    Thanks Natarsha

Here are the areas of Houston that we cover in our guide which are popular with expats:

    – Downtown
    – Inner Loop, including Midtown, West U and Rice Village
    – Memorial and Galleria area
    – The Heights
    – The Woodlands
    – Outside the Loop west and northwest
    – Sugarland

In terms of school recommendations, unfortunately there are lots and whilst we mention a few international and private ones in our guide you can might find the following site as a place to start short of getting personal recommendations:

Hi Natarsha, I know this is 2 years too late but if you’re still looking for apartments to rent, why not try HomeAway, VRBO or Roomorama? There should be quite a few options with great location. Hope this is useful 🙂

    Cheers
