Visit Pass

For nationals of countries not requiring entry visas, a 14-day Social Visit Visa is typically issued upon arrival. One can extend this visit pass for a longer period by applying for an extension online via the ICA website or at the ICA visitor services center. Thirty-90 day extensions are typically given depending on the visitor's purpose in Singapore:

  • Business purposes (Up to 30 days)
  • Social purposes (Up to 90 days)
  • Seeking medical services (Up to 90 days)

The ICA also grants long term extensions of stay for the following reasons:

  • Female Social Visitor Whose Child/Grandchild Is Studying in Singapore on a Student's Pass
  • Social Visitor Seeking Permission To Deliver A Child in Singapore
  • Social Visitor Whose Spouse is Singapore Citizen (SC) or Singapore Permanent Resident (SPR)
  • Social Visitor (below 21 years old) Whose Parent is a Singapore Citizen (SC) or
  • Singapore Permanent Resident (SPR)
  • Social Visitor Whose Child (above the age of 21 years old) is a Singapore Citizen (SC) or
  • Singapore Permanent Resident (SPR)
  • Visitor seeking long-term stay

As requirements, forms, and supporting documents are vastly different for each category and sometimes change, visit the ICA website for specifics.
